"Connect to any Carrier later"

If I buy an Iphone through the official apple website in USA and when I go to buy I put the option “Connect to any Carrier later”, does that mean that when I have it brought to my country (not USA), I can put any carrier or any card to the cell phone?

That statement means that the iPhone will not be locked to a specific carrier. So technically yes, you could use it with any carrier that it's compatible with (carriers can differ from country to country in support). But I concur with sberman; it's highly recommended that you buy your iPhone in the country where you live, even if it would work with your local carriers. Otherwise you face the very possible risk of not being able to get service should it be needed.

Regards.

The iPhone version sold in the U.S. does not use any kind of physical SIM card. It is eSIM only. The carrier that you want to use in the country in which the phone will be used may not offer eSIM capability.

Please remember that an iPhone should be purchased in the country in which it will be used most of the time.

You will avoid a number of potential problems this way.....even if the cost might be higher.
