dictation no longer works on microsoft Start app

iPhone 14 Pro Max

iOS iOS 18.0 (22A3354)

Affected App: Microsoft Start

When attempting to use dictation, the microphone button will turn grey and mic icon turns light (this is normal.)

however when I begin to speak it de-selects (as if I didn’t enable it)

NOTE: dictation continues to work on all other applications, Apple and non-Apple.

troubleshooting

* force quite/relaunch app

* disabled/enabled dictation

* insured keyboard language is English and screen time limitation not enabled.

* uninstalled/reinstalled application
