Emails deleted on my MacBook Air still appear on that email account on my iPhone. Is there a setting that needs to be changed?

Mail doesn't sync via iCloud. You will have to delete them on your iPhone just like you MacBook.
Probably should have indicated that they are internet mail accounts - one is hotmail and the other is my church. They always were in sync until recently....
All I can see that the might have been synced at one time through the keychain but as far back as I can recall I entered mine manually into my iPhones.
