iPhone Mirroring "Timed Out"

Similar for me - Rebooting my phone did not solve this. All I had to do was set my wifi to Rotating Private on my iPhone 14 Pro Max and it would connect to my MacBook Pro M1 Max and it connected. (the Mac was on Fixed). Then I switched the Mac to "Rotating" and it continued to work. Thank You!

For reference, when its timed out, the universal clipboard does not work too.

I solved this by logging out from the M3 and login in again. I was afraid hesitant to do this earlier, expecting issues with file sync. But it's smoothly sync again and better.

I thought Iphone mirroring only worked with the Apple Chipset versions of Macs? M1, M2, ect. It states in your description that you have an Intel Chipset.

If you are having issues, what worked for me is going into your iPhone and reset your network settings.

None of the solutions here worked for me, so I went to reset iPhone mirroring credentials and it worked:

The solution I found was to turn off / on the Bluetooth on my iPhone.

Rebooted my Mac, and it started working again.

Before that, iPhone Mirroring and Air Drop were not working on my mac.

Following the comment on Side Car I chacked that, and it didn't work too. So that pointed my suspicion at the Mac OS.

Before that tried:

• Quit iPhone Mirroring
• Reboot iPhone
• charging iPhone (as per comment in this thread)

All of these didn't work.

It did work for me! thanks! adding to that keep on mind if you changed your phone recently, you will i have to change the iPhone you want the mirroring app takes, you do that in the settings- Widget and below pick the iphone you want to be connected to.

Rebooting my phone fixed this issue for me.

Interesting... I don't have it on, _but_ I'm on a managed machine that has other stuff I'm not 100% familiar with running. It is some of that 'stuff' that is causing it, since my personal machine = no problem, so could be firewall / port management stuff happening.

I would just like to point out that all of the security companies mentioned in that article, including the one that recently took down most of the internet and then sent people invalid $10 Uber Eats gifts cards as an apology, have had access to macOS Sequoia since early June. Maybe they should have tested their products in June, July, August, or early September even.

Granted, the built-in firewall is a different story entirely. Apple didn't test that. But then again, Apple doesn't turn it on by default either - nor should anyone else.

iPhone restart worked for me (MacBook Pro 2018 Sequoia, iPhone 15 Pro iOS 18)

I'm using it successfully with an iMac Pro, 2017, Intel chip. Must have T2 Security, maybe because it's a "Pro" version?

I have exactly thew same problem and so does my mum (different location/phone/Macs).

I get the iPhone notifications on my Mac but, when I click on them, the app opens and eventually times out - This has already become the most annoying app from Apple EVER (and I have been using Apple products since 2010.

The only way round this - and it defeats the object - is to switch the phone on and then off again.

This was the only thing I was looking forward to in Sequoia and I am so dissaponted.
