How to Purchase apps using my own Apple ID

Hi. Basically i have a school iPad and i want to update the Wordpress app. The problem is when i click update it says it shared and i need to buy with my own apple id. I have an iPhone 7 and since it doesnt support ios16 i cant buy wordpress with iPhone 7. So how can i buy with my apple ID?
