2-Factor Authentification registration issue

OS 14.7

Mac 14,2

Got this error message today when trying to register one of my phone numbers for the 2-Factor Authentification........

I don't even know what this "Apple Developer Program" is supposed to be, let alone why and how I would be registered to any such "other accounts" in that program...........!!!

Can anybody help please? Does this mean I have been hacked.....?? Is my iCloud / Apple ID now compromised.....??

Thanks

MacBook Air, macOS 14.7

Make sure you entered the number correctly.

The program is one set for people who do not work for Apple but develop things like apps. Apparently there is an account already using that number. Maybe somebody else entered the wrong number and it has locked up yours. You can try contacting Apple but I am guessing you may just have to use a different phone number.

SOLVED

For all intent and purposes:

I de-actived all my eSim on my iPhone, rebooted iPhone and then re-enabled only the one eSim with the number that I was unable to register as a trusted phone number for 2-Factor Authentication.

This prompted me to re-allow FaceTime and iMessage on that same number.

Then, I logged into my Apple Account and received a verification code on my iPhone.

Following this, I was finally able to add that same number under the “Trusted” section in my Apple Account for 2-Factor Authentication.

Case solved & closed.

P.S. - it's actually spelt "Authentication", not "Authentification" 😅

Thank you Limnos. Yes I did reach out to Apple support on this.

I managed to find the Developer website and logged in using my Apple ID.....again, no idea how this has even been made possible, and by who. In any case, when trying to manage devices I'm not able to access that information.

I even downloaded XCode and managed to log in with my Apple ID, but there is no Account listed.......

This is very strange and disconcerting, I can only hope Apple can resolve this ASAP.
