Dock doesn’t move to external monitors

Latest update "Version 15.1 (24B83)" fixed this for me FYI \o/

Upgrading to latest version fixed this for me.

I have the same problem, my external monitor is above my MacBook and normally I could move the dock just by holding the mouse pointer a few seconds at the bottom of the external monitor. That does not work anymore.

Until a resolution is available I have (virtually) moved my MacBook above my external monitor and then the dock appears on my external monitor.

Feeling quite silly about how I fixed this for myself. Just set the external monitor as the main display. Highlighted the external Dell display and then click the drop-down menu to the right of "Use as", and then chose "Main display"

I have a similar issue - 15" MacBook Pro using a CalDigit port replicator and two external monitors - if I have the app dock 'hide', and I slide down to the bottom of the monitor, the dock will appear on the 'other' monitor. It's a fun game to play.

If I set it NOT to hide, it only appears on the laptop screen (where invariably I have to go to catch it).

Every once in a while, with enough reboots, it will work, but it's more the exception than the rule!

I am also experiencing this issue and I have my Macbook Pro M1 below my extended monitor. Even if I set the external monitor to be the Main Display, I still can not move the dock to the main display since upgrading to Sequoia.

That solved my issue, too! Now the dock appears on the same screen that you try to, you know, access it from!

same issue here, seems dock will not switch to active motor anymore and insist on being on the lower most display

Why hasn't apple fixed this. I often need to access my dock from various monitors and it worked great for the last 10 years. What gives?

Thanks for the potential solution, but this doesn't work for me, the dock never moves from the MacBook even if not the main display.
