Unable to completely disable iPhone Mirror app setup

I configured the iPhone mirror app and quickly realized its very annoying and to remove the configuration from the app.

The app on my Mac book does not show that it's still configured but it keeps locking after a short period of inactivity. The Lock screen settings has the require password option set to immediately and does not allow me to disable it. It seems like it thinks the iPhone Mirroring is still enabled and enforcing this settings.

When I try to configure the iPhone Mirror app again it times out so I cannot reconfigure and change the authentication options either.

Below is a screenshot of the app and the lock screen configuration page:

Quit iPhone Mirroring, then on your iPhone go to Settings > General > AirPlay & Continuity > iPhone Mirroring. Swipe left on the name of your Mac, then tap Delete. Restart your Mac and iPhone.

iPhone Mirroring: Use your iPhone from your Mac

no resolve shut down both devices and restart(?)
