Broken: Universal Control Keyboard Mouse Sharing OS Sequoia 15.0

After MacOS Sequoia 15.0 was installed Sept 18, 2024 (on both my MBP 2021 14in and MM 2018), the linking of keyboard and mouse between MBP and MM is now broken (universal control). If I can get it to work for 1 minute, it then breaks, despite the display icon showing that such sharing is active on both devices. Yes, I have restarted Bluetooth, WiFi, and both devices too.

The "universal control" to share the keyboard and mouse seems broken and buggy, even if it works for a minute, then breaks.

Yes, the keyboard and mouse are official Apple products too.

I use this feature all the time, and hope there will be a bug fix very soon.

Anyone else having this problem? Any solutions?

Same here and it's killing my workflow. Apple this needs to be a priority it's important to many of us.

Well, UC mostly was working, but I just experienced another lock-up, where I had to use the MBP touch pad to move the cursor around, open Settings, and get to Displays. Once I did that, the UC sharing reestablished with the MM, and then I can continue to use the UC with the shared mouse and keyboard, between the MM and MBP.

Yesterday morning, I turned off UC on both the MBP and MM. I then logged out of iCloud/AppleID on both machines. After restarting both machines, and I had log back into iCloud/AppleID, then I went back into Settings/Displays to reactivate UC.

Yes, many days ago I had already update both machines the Sequoia 15.1.

It is working, but I have still experienced intermittent locking up, requiring me to open Settings/Displays to re-establish UC.

Better, but still not happy.

Same for me. It kills my workflow.

Problem persist even after updating to Sequoia 15.1 on the Mac Studio and the iPad.

The most frustrating is that this seems to be random. At times (rarely) it will suddenly work (for a few minutes), and then stop working.

The update seems to have fixed the issue. I updated to 15.1 yesterday afternoon, and it's been smooth sailing so far.
