Trouble with Preview and Quick Look

Hello. I've been having this issue for the past server OS updates and was hoping Sequoia would resolve it, but it appears to have made it worse. I used to be able to navigate the folder where MacOS stores music albums and I could see small image icons of each album cover and I could use Quick Look (spacebar) to view them as well. Lately, the views have change to this:

and this:

And Quick Look does this:

I can move files to a new folder or the trash and I see everything as I should (and how I used to). Here are samples of moved files:

Quick Look:

I've compared folder permissions, but everything looks good. Any thoughts?

Thank you.

That is considered part of an internal database. The idea is that you would use the Music app to access it. There are various possibilities for how Apple is excluding these files from Quicklook. If you try to hack around on these files, you could corrupt the database.

What are you trying to accomplish? Can't you get the same data from the Music app?

Thanks for the reply, etresoft. That makes sense.

As to what I'm trying to accomplish, I go to that folder to remove album artwork from songs, playlists, and albums that I've deleted. I've noticed that the Music app doesn't automatically do that. I cannot view the album artwork in that folder from the Music app. I can only do it in Finder.

Thanks again!
