Mac won’t login after turning Firevault off

my Mac is stuck on the progress bar after trying to login . Been stuck for hrs now . I remember turning firevault off prior to this issue . Any ideas how to fix ?

FileVault needs to finish decrypting first. The amount of time it takes to decrypt a disk is equal to the time it took to encrypt it. If you don't want to wait proceed as described in If your Mac doesn't start up all the way - Apple Support, under If your Mac starts up to an Apple logo or progress bar - Apple Support.


The most expedient way to recover would be to restore the Mac from its Time Machine backup.
