If you're talking about base models, one difference is that

  • The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will receive the Apple Intelligence beta when it comes out
  • The iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will not

This is probably because the base iPhone 15 and 15 Plus have 6 GB of RAM. The 16 and 16 Plus have 8 GB – like every other iPhone currently on the list to get the beta.

The main differences between the iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 are :

  1. Introduction of Apple Intelligence with iPhone 16 which the iPhone 15 wouldn't be receiving.
  2. The introduction of new camera interface and camera control for the new iPhone 16.
  3. Upgraded from A16 Bionic to A18 chip.
  4. Introduced Spatial audio and video which allows users to focus on specific subjects and their voice in a video.

Some Minor Changes are :

  1. Introduced new vibrant color options for the base iPhone 16.
  2. Changed the camera layout and added some more Photographic styles.

I recently picked up an iPhone 16, and I'm not overly impressed. I got it ONLY because I was sick and tired of the glitchy iPhone 14. I had had problems with the iPhone 14 from day 1 and even had to do a warranty job because the phone would get so hot that you almost couldn't touch it. The apple tech finally told me to get rid of the 14. Despite the hype, the 16 is "meh." Whomever at Apple thought that marketing the 16 as an Ai platform, and that that would lead to lots of sales from the general populous, should be fired. They are obviously out of touch with the common consumer. Contrary to what Silicon Valley and Ai companies want us to believe, most tech consumers are EXTEMEMY adverse to Ai, especially in the US where laws protect companies, not citizens. Not only did they miss the mark on Ai, but, Apple needs to understand that at some point, camera upgrades are of no value except for marketing hype. 99.9999% of iPhone users are casual photographers. They just want to take a clear picture. Apple's cameras are already amazing, then why, other than for desperate marking ploys, do they keep hyping camera updates? The average iPhone user can't tell the difference between a pic taken from a 14, 15, 16, or any pro. Is that all Apple has got? An ai platform that no one wants, and an updated camera that no one cares about? Sad really. Apple was a great, industry -leading company. But Apple is just not Apple anymore.
