how do I disable automatic window resizing in Sequoia

Did not work for me. I even shut down the computer and restarted. Really hate this.

One of the worst feature ever. I had a hard time finding how to disable it.

Looks like this has changed a little.

It is now under System Settings > Desktop & Dock > Windows "Drag windows to menu bar to fill screen"

I completely agree. SW interoperability and compatibility is an incredibly complex subject, so you need to be able to take a look at a lot of different configs and user experiences to make these determinations. Thanks for the help.

Because macOS Sequoia changed and Dell's software didn't.

I'm not blaming Apple for this, but any major change can have inadvertent consequences.

Apple does not write macOS and add features to stay compatible with third-party software. It's up to third-party software vendors to remain compatible with the latest versions. It's very simple.

Apple has never made a new feature off by default. Maybe the Application Firewall, but that’s completely useless so maybe doesn’t count.

OMG this was irritating. I have a 49" curved monitor and having everything span the entirety of the screen was awful, it always took a little bit extra to fix it. Going to the system settings and turning off tiling was the cure. I did double check that the DDPM software wasn't there and it wasn't thank goodness.

The resizing behavior happens to me any time I try to move a window, whether it hits the top of the screen or not.

The window tiling feature of Sequoia doesn't do that. It should only do that when you hit an edge. Even then, it doesn't tile unless you release it with the tile showing. Move a little and the tile marquee disappears.

D.S. Cobb: Thanks for your solution! I disabled tiling, but that didn't work. I had no idea it would be the monitor until I read your post. I have a Dell and followed your instructions and the automatic resizing stopped.
