iOS 18 bug with the mail app

I have multiple email accounts. Only one in the list view shows a number of unread emails. The app shows a different number so now I have to click on each email to see if it has unread emails, where it should be showing a number of unread, if there are unread. Major bug with this new update. Needs to be figured out and fixed swiftly.

I’m 82 yrs old….My email app has 3 email accounts on my iPad.

I receive 2 acts of incoming mail but my Yahoo acct does not receive any & it has deleted the emails I had in my inbox.

Why? What have you done since last upgrade? Tell me what I can do to fix this or I will have to take it in & have different mail app replace yours.

The love/hate relationship never ends. I agree. Stop thinking we need a better mouse trap. Things are pretty good. Thinking this will make us all more efficient is crazy thinking. When something is not broken it doesn't need to be "improved" or fixed. It was all just fine. Just tune it up, fix any bugs but stop with the needless "improvements." They are not improvements they become impediments when we are used to how things work and operate.

Why should I stop thinking the Mail app needs to improve? I've never really liked it. The changes made with iOS 18 make it passably useful but it still has a long way to go. I hope Apple keeps improving it. Not everyone has the same needs and preferences that you do.

I have the same problem, only with two accounts. Everything is coming in on my GMail account, but not Apple Mail. This needs an updated version with a patch on this-now!

I’m also having issues. Missed an important email as it isn’t showing in any of my inboxes but if I search for it, I can find it.

First I wasn’t getting the emails and missed many important ones. Now the mail app flashes constantly as it tries to load emails that it can’t load due to a glitch. Apple needs to fix this.

Apple Mail not performing correctly at all since iOS 18 update. Having all same issues as folks on this thread have listed.

Apple please address and resolve these issues.

Same here only my phone iPad ok but it’s only running OS16.7 so that’s fine

I am having same issue when I go to all inboxes and trying to read mail it goes out of the folder to a blank screen and I have to go back in and find the one I was reading and start again

I have updated to iOS 18.1 and it has wiped out my Important emails

How can I re establish my emails ?

Same problem here. On older iPhone everything was fine.

Enter you email address and password and use the option the best suits the email you have.

Upgraded yesterday and now I have this issue too. iOS version 18.1.1
