I recently updated my IOS to 18 and my express transit no longer works for my digital transit cards stored in Wallet.
Wallet forces me to use facial recognition to bring up the transit card to tap when boarding the metro. Anyone else having issues ?

Is you transit card or payment method still listed and selected in Settings? Please follow this path,
iPhone > Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay > scroll down > Transit Cards > Express Transit Card > does you preferred payment have a blue check mark next to it?

Try switching it off (deflecting card) and then selecting the card again. Restart your iPhone and see if it works.
Have you tried removing the card and re-adding the card to your Wallet app?
Hello. I’ve never resolved my issue Eventually , I had to visit my local transit office and purchase a new physical transit card to transfer my current pass on to it. The transit employee recommended not to digitize my physical card to express transit in apple wallet moving forward as this has been a known issue.
I’m sorry to hear about your dining pass. I do understand the inconvenience and frustration.
It could be something specific to the metro device you tried to use. Plenty of reports of a device not working on one bus/subway, but working a few days later. There can be network connection issues, defective equipment etc. If it repeatedly happens, then there may be other issues.
Thanks for your input. Yep did all that as well as deleting the transit pass from Wallet and adding it back in. I’ve also checked that wallet to be active even in locked position. Nothing is working. So I just have to pull up my card on wallet then authorize with facial to board the metro.
