Lost my iCloud back up

So I had to completely restore my iPhone after a communication I had with apple support via telephone. There is an issue with my battery so they needed me to restore the phone and use again as a new iPhone temporarily without restoring my back up for a few days. Later today I updated my iPhone to iOS 18 and found out that the back up from my previous iPhone (before restoring) is nowhere… Right now I lost everything that I had except photos passwords and contacts and no one in the phone can help me or do something about it. I urgently need help because I am devastated right now about what is happening! Keep in mind that I checked that my iPhone is backed up properly before restoring it

Thats what it sounds like, in my opinion no one at apple knows what theyre doing. They just tell you what they want or what u the costumer wants to hear. They just wear cute tshirts that say apple on them to make ppl think theyre someone important or knowledgable. It took me years to figure out one tiny trick when I was trying to delete texts on my phone. I said to apple one time I said I dont have texts backed up on icloud I have that turned off. They said I know but the thing is it automatically backs up to your icloud even when texts backup is turned off. So I started setting up to keep texts for 30 days. You can do that in your settings under messages. But I would still manually delete texts myself. Then delete them from deleted folder. Apple said well when u delete them manually its gonna take 24hr-4days for them to delete on the apple server end. It turned out they were right about that cool tip. My advice to you is just dont have anything on your phone u dont wanna lose or u dont want. I legit only have 1 photo 25 contacts 0 texts. I dont do apps. The only trouble Im having right now is the icloud backup storage bug. I had 57mb on ios 17.6.1 then deleted old backups as I do and backed up again and the icloud storage increased a lot without doing anything. Its slowly coming down but I had to buy more storage just to be safe. One work around I found is under backups toggle off the section that says backup on cellular if you dont have wifi. Which honestly if youre always on wifi you shouldnt need that toggle anyways. You should just backup on wifi.
