I lose the cursor forcing a restart OS 15

After upgrading to Sequoia, MacOS 15, I lose the Desktop cursor when going to the screen edge. Shaking the curso does not help. I am forced to restart to get the cursor back. Also I cannot move around with keyboard shortcuts, but I get no notification of a kernel panic.

I sorta have this issue too. It's new with Sequoia. I've found that when the mouse cursor disappears if I go to Mission Control (3 or 4 finger swipe up on trackpad) the and then exit Mission Control (same fingers swiping down) the mouse will appear and I can continue normally. Also, I'm not sure about this bit but the disappearance seems to happen in conjunction with certain events (like a MS Teams notification). I did also notice that if I drag my finger around the trackpad after the cursor disappears some controls will light like the mouse is hovering over them (indicating the mouse cursor is still there, just invisible.)

Whatever the cause, this is definitely a bug.

To trouble shoot further you can:

—A SafeBoot Use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support will sort many anomalies

Does a quick disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, third party system modifications and system accelerations are disabled temporarily.

Login and test. Reboot as normal and test. Caches get rebuilt automatically.

This test will tell you if third party interference; most extensions etc are not loaded in safe boot mode.

—Test issue in another user (or guest user) account Change Users & Groups settings on Mac - Apple Support

This will tell you if it a universal issue or isolated to your user/admin account.

unplug all non-essential peripherals when testing

Uninstall all third party apps that are Cleaners/Optimizers/VPN/Anti-Virus

all known to cause issues on the macOS
