my activity monitor has too many activities and I noticed my screen was randomly paused and played in a second during YouTube browsing. Am I tracked/monitor ? how to know?

Activity monitor crashed when I clicked on energy tabs and now when I reopen it instantly crashes I just opened activity manager and was going through the different tabs. Clicked on energy the program is crashing. I am on Sonoma. I have the problem report not sure if I should share here.

Distnoted and mouse pointer "distnoted" shows up in Activity Monitor with up to 12 entries and the mouse pointer flips back to the start point when I scroll the sidebar to the beginning of the listing of distnoted in Activity Monitor. The next time I look at the Activity monitor distnoted is only one entry and the mouse pointer pulls the scrollbar normally. Do I have a virus?

It's normal for there to be lots of system processes, with unusual names. Are there any particular ones that you have reason to believe should not be on this list?
