Can you share an IPad Pro with two people?

My mom and I would like to share an IPad with two separate accounts where none of our own ICloud data can be seen by the other person. Is this possible? I know you can sign in and out of Apple IDs, but I could still see her photos and messenges as she set up the IPad first. I would like it to be used for school where she would use it for work.
