Apple Watch 10 - not installing apps

iPhone 14 Pro, and Apple Watch 10, both have most current software, but I’ve been trying for the last 24 hours to get my apps installed on my watch and it’s just not working.

• have rebooted both
• have unpaired and re-paired
• tried flight mode
• tried turning Bluetooth off on watch.

Help!
