iOS keeps making me login to my phone randomly

No rhyme or reason, just get a message I have to login to my phone. Then go thru hassle of security questions, etc. My password is very strong, so I don't change it when this happens, as I am sure IF someone has been

trying to access my account, my password is what is keeping them out. I have a feeling (and wondering here, if anyone knows), is this just Apple because I won't agree to their "multi-factor authorization"?

First off, I do not like Two Factor. It's an extra hassle when I try to go onto my iCloud on my PC, for example. Secondly, why on earth doesn't Apple give us information, like date, time, location for Failed Login Attempts? If they did, it might help me track down why this is happening, who might be doing this? Thirdly, I still am not sure this if from someone trying to hack my account. Because many years ago, we had an issue with a new login my wife setup on her phone, after so many failed attempts, they (Apple) made it so we could not even try again for

1 hour, then 2 hours, etc. This has never happened during this whole harassing nightmare I have been facing. I put in my quite difficult password, sometimes I have to "unlock" with my Security Questions (other

times I don't just put in the password) and then I am off an running. Until it happens again. Could be later that day, the next day or a couple weeks later. I am annoyed over this!
