Apple SD Card Reader Not working with IPAD Pro with IOS 18.0

I can’t get may Apple SC Card Reader to work. The iPad does not recognize it but the iPhone does running the same iOS 18.0 the problem started with 16.7.1 and I’ve opened a ticket with Apple with no results. Just one follow up email that the problem has not been resolved yet.

I initially thought it was a port problem, but the port charges and other Apple devices work with the port it’s strictly the Apple SD card reader does not work and I even wouldn’t purchase a new one thinking my old one was broke.

Any tips would be appreciated!
