Image Capture problems with Sequoia

We recently updated our MacBook Air (M2 2022) to Sequoia 15.0 (24A335). Image Capture has always operated fine, but now it "waits for the scanner" for quite a while and then shows this error message:

The phone acting as hotspot, and the all-in-one scanner that was automatically opened by Image Capture, would seem to be exonerated by the fact that we can use Image Capture with the scanner on our MacBook Pro (15" 2016) running macOS Monterey (12.7.6). The app on our Air identifies itself as "Version 8.0 (1106)", both created and modified "September 5, 2024 at 1:54 PM". The app on our Pro shows exactly the same Version, but is dated "July 17, 2024 at 3:49 AM". I don't remember exactly when I updated to Sequoia, nor whether we have tried to use Image Capture between then and now.

Suggestions as to how to proceed are welcome. Is there somewhere we can look up the above error? I found no applicable posts searching the Community for "Image Capture".

Problem solved by downloading new printer & scanner drivers from Epson for macOS 15. Both MacBooks can now print and scan. AlWeir, thanks for your help.
