Print old text messages

My daughter passed away two years ago and ever since I have been leaving her a message almost every day. Of course her phone is disconnected and the messages I sent were never deliverable. I tried to send one last night and found out that someone else had her phone number now. Is there a way that I can go back to years and print out all the text messages that I sent to her?

Lost Messages from Deceased Friend I have a friend who passed away earlier this year. We had exchanged numerous text messages - like people do - for several years. I had the history on my iPhone. I went to look for a message today, and the history for him is gone. I'm guessing his wife shut his phone off after he passed away. I'm assuming that because the phone number is no more, the messages were deleted. However, I have been unable to confirm this while searching online. I do backups on my phone - could the messages possibly be in the cloud? This is the first time I've experienced a loss and wanted to see messages... so I don't know what to do next. Thanks all...

Access to encrypted messages of deceased family member denied Given Apple's Legacy access process, our family was finally able to get access to photos and documents of our adult son, who tragically died in an aircraft accident in 2024. After a very arduous and excruciating process, involving a Probate court order issued in May 2025, Apple required us to first close our son's Apple credit card and savings account, held by Goldman Sachs, which took nearly two months. Once the cards were closed after numerous phone calls, Apple legal got involved for final approvals, at which point we were transferred to Apple's technical support. Despite our efforts, Apple was unable to provide us access to our son's messaging (30GB in iCloud backup) due to the rigorous encryption technologies. Since we did not have access to the passwords of our son's MacBook and iPhone (which he wasn't supposed to share with anyone based on Apple's recommendations), we are now unable to sync his messages to the newly established Apple ID account. Question - Has anyone else attempted to go through this process, and if so, has anyone been able to get access to messages from a deceased family member? Apple has indicated they are unable to assist.

😔 So sorry for your loss!

You might be able to use a 3rd party app like iMazing to get those messages into a pdf export file!

If those messages are in your phone now you should be able to choose her chat (from Messages) and export them!
