*82 Removal - help please?

*82 removal?

A few years ago, I switched my number to private in order to help prevent spam calls. In doing so I altered family members in my contacts to have the *82 prefix in front of their number to skip entering them manually each time I called. I have since made my number public once again and removed the *82 prefix from my contacts. However, since removing the prefix, it will not stop appearing in my calling or texting them. This creates issues on my phone with using Siri to call them or texting them their names disappear. The number will appear 82 plus their phone number and that’s it. How can I get this terrible glitch fixed?
