iPhone 16 pro max touch not responsive

I’ve noticed off and on while using my iPhone 6pro max, that my screen is not as responsive in some places. And it’s not constant, just sometimes. Like when typing, or pressing a back button. Anyone else experiencing this? I’ve read elsewhere it could be software, I’m hopeful that’s it.
