Check in System settings>Privacy and Security and scroll to Local Network.
See if there is anything there that looks like an Epson process and turn it on.
Mind you this process may not be obvious by name, so if it were me, I would take a screen shot, turn them all on and see if you can scan. If the answer is yes, I would try to isolate which one is Epson, leave it on and turn the others off.
FYI, one of Epson's processes in this area is "commandtoescp"….who would know that this is related to Epson !!!
You may not have this process, this is just an example.
