iPad stuck in dark mode

Switching to light mode still leaves iPad in dark mode.

i am only asking the question so i can answer it as there are no working answers in apple support.

For me, I fixed the problem by switching off smart invert in the accessibility options. Now I can successfully switch between light and dark mode.

iPad (10th generation) dark mode is on permanently. How to turn off It came on without me asking! I’ve gone through the web help to turn it off through Settings and restarted the iPad but it seems to stay in dark mode
