If you are asking about the "e" in the answer: Because the result is larger than can be displayed, like most calculators switch to scientific notation:

Calculators cannot do exponents (the superscripted number) so for decades the convention has been to use "e" for "exponent." So in your result, the "e7" is the equivalent to " times 10 to the seventh power."
If you turn your phone on its side, you can see the entire number.

Hello Allan! Thank you so much for the tip about rotating the calc app in order to show very long numbers. I had no idea you could do that, it will really help me! Best iPhone tip I´ve read all year! It just goes to show that one never stops learning…Cheers, Ian.

You are not alone. Last night I mentioned the rotation action to my very smart daughter who's used iPhones going back to about iPhone 5 and she was unaware of the calendar changing from standard to scientific when you "flip" it.
Thanks for the follow-up and the comment!
Cheers!
AJ
Hello,
Even after rotating the phone and it shows the long numbers, if I copy and paste it, say in Notes, it’s gets pasted in scientific notation. Is there a way for this to be pasted in long numbers instead? Thanks in advance!
