iCloud Hidden Photos Sync/Backup

Hello,

I am aware that hidden photos are backed up/synced with iCloud (so they can be accessed from any device, accessed when get a new device, won’t be lost if phone gets wiped, etc), but is there a reason that when I go to “your storage” on iCloud to see the breakdown of my iCloud storage, only those that are not hidden show up?

For example that tab says I have about 1500 items taking up 14gb of storage, but I have about the same number of items in my hidden but it doesn’t take that into account in the total storage used up.

Is it actually being taken into account but its just hiding it, so I theoretically would hit the 50gb limit but only see say 30gb showing up?
