Unable to upload photos to shutterfly app. after downloading ios 18

Ever since I updated to IOS 18 I haven’t been able to upload my pictures to the Shutterfly app. The app has been uninstalled and installed, I haven’t changed any settings to my pictures. The app has full access to my photos. The problem applies to pictures taken with my iPhone only. Any one else having this issue?

Great information! It confirms that Shutterfly just needs to update their app. Thanks for that!

Ok, shutterfly has told me this is an apple issue. You have to change your camera settings on the iphone 16 under formats to most compatible and not high efficiency. It is more complicated to switch the ones I already took on the older system, but I found a way my sending them to my mac in the new format.

Shutterfly does not plan to accept heic photos at this time. I do not know the difference between them in either computer or print form. Everything is so much better than my 2 megapixel days.

I had the same issue.

I changed to most compatible, it ONLY works if I upload MANUALLY.

the auto upload just wont start on its own.

When I launch the app, it would say everything is uploaded, but it was the stuff I MANUALLY upload, but the new photos i take.

changing the format to most compatible only will help compatibility for the upload.

But the function of auto upload still doesn't work.

I have different issue with 1SE and the developers were quick to address my issue with a patch fix.

The problem with that is one the new photos taken with the phone are JPEG’s not the old photos. Therefore, the older photos still can’t be uploaded and two while taking the photos and the more compatible format. They take up more storage on the device. I do believe it’s a Shutterfly issue because I use Snapfish as my back up and I download all the same photos and I’ve downloaded all the new photos I’ve taken since the update on Snapfish without any issues or changing the format
