AirPods Pro Transparency Mode Not Working Properly After Update (Firmware 6A301)

Since the latest update to firmware version 6A301, I’ve noticed an issue with my AirPods Pro. The Transparency mode doesn’t activate immediately. To get it to work, I first have to switch to Adaptive mode and then switch back to Transparency mode. Otherwise, it seems like the Noise Cancellation mode is still active, even though Transparency is selected. Is there a way to report this to Apple, or should I just wait for the next firmware update in the hopes that it will be fixed?

I have been having the same issue with no resolution it seems. Just now I was messing around with the settings on my airpod pro (2nd Gen) and saw that "Loud Sound Reduction" was toggled on. After I toggled it off I could hear outside noises clearly through the bud.

Put your airpods on

Go to your Bluetooth connections

Find your airpods

Press the little "i" icon

Scroll down until you see "Loud Sound Reduction"

Toggle it off

I have the same problem.

I use AirPods pro in transparency mode a lot on my motorcycle. I can hear what is happening around me beautifully. But after the update it is unusable.

Airpods in transparency mode dampen the sounds in the environment, strangely equalize the pressure in the ears, and in addition, sometimes one disconnects and starts to suppress the noise, and the other does the complete opposite.

Sometimes one disconnects and the other plays very quietly.

It's really annoying me, please fix it as soon as possible. I have to sing on the motorbike now and it's impossible to listen to it 😂
