My iPhone Silent button is not working

Go into setting and you’ll see “action button.” Just scroll to the action you want to use and back out. Should fix the issue.

I went to settings…

action button… and swiped left..there are pic icons of different actions ……

found silent notification there..

All good now!

Update: After further playing around with the Action button including longer press, and turning the silence toggle on/off in sound & haptics, the silence mode reappeared in the island window. I’m not exactly sure what combo produced the result, but glad it reappeared.

Issue resolved :

‘Action Button’ showed (again) what was initially thought, to merely be a tutorial, showing all the options possible for that button and NOT, to actually change the settings of the button.

So, thank you for the solution as I accessed it again and went back to the beginning of the ‘tutorial’ which was the Silent Button function.

My iPhone 16pro silent button no longer causes the silent on/off action to display. The island window (top middle of the home phone screen) remains black. It used to work fine. Tried a restart, silt the toggle in settings and the action button. All no-go.

Does nothing. Mine goes to camera and that is it

My iPhone 16 does not ring for medical appointments or anything I have set it for LOUD and vibrate. How can I fix ? I check for silent I DONT feel it in pocket!!!

Holding that upper left button for an extended period doesn’t garner any result for me at all???

It changes routinely, apparently that button gets tapped when I put the iPhone in my pocket, There is NO identification that the setting was accedentally changed, I MISS phone calers
