removing screenshots from desktop

My desktop is covered with screenshots. How do I get them off but still

be able to access them

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 14.6

Create a new folder on the desktop for them, or choose Home from the Finder's Go menu and drag them to Documents, Pictures, or elsewhere as desired.
