Imac m1 calculator malfunction

Does Calculator app still have issues when started in Safe Mode? Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support

Have no idea what is not working correctly for you. The app is much improved and the History feature very helpful and also the delay I would get sometimes when performing a calculation has been eliminated.

Lost Paper Tape. No ‘Show Paper Tape’ in Window dropdown. Menu at top is different than it’s always been, less headings. Calculator now displays all “+” and “x” (all math symbols used) between numbers on readout at top. And on completion of calculation, readout shows every “+” and “x” used above total. Going to try restarting in Safe mode as recommended. - Frank

Restarted in safe mode. CALCULATOR IS DIFFERENT THAN IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN. Nothing was fixed by me starting in safe mode. Missing ‘Convert’ and ‘Speech’ menu headings. No paper tape. Calculations look different in window at top as mentioned previously.

Could be operator error. Using Intel iMac running Sequoia 15.0

Consider buying PCalc or another alternative calculator app that better meets your needs?

(I’ve been using PCalc on macOS, iOS, and iPadOS for aeons. Works well. Deeply customizable.)

Can you be more specific?

What 'basic' math are you trying to do? What result do you get, vs. what result do you expect?

All normal, Calculator is changed in Sequoia.

As I mentioned. The Calculator has changed in Sequoia.
