How can I gift a movie through AppleTV? (2024)
I have read about gifting on Apple but I cannot find how to gift a movie through the TV app. I've tried both on my Mac and my iPhone. Any suggestions?

You can't. From the article you linked to:
You can't gift movies or TV shows on a Mac or Windows PC, on an iPhone running iOS 17.2 or later, on an iPad running iPadOS 17.2 or later, or on an Apple TV running tvOS 17.2 or later.
Send the recipient the money for it and tell them to buy it themselves.
