Chance of Green Screen of Death reoccuring after screen replacement?

HI, I currently have the green screen of death on my iPhone 13 after upgrading to IOS18. I can make it go away temporarily by restoring to a backup. The screen is then fine for a few hours or so but it comes back.

Tried this 4 times now so the phone is unreliable.

I just wanted to ask others who have had the screen replaced - has the issue come back?

If it's a hardware fault then will replacement screens have the similar defect?

If it's a software issue, what's to stop it happening again?

I've seen the videos on using a jumper wire internally, and even the lighter ignition trick - just wondering whether, even after a new Apple screen, it could happen again.

Just trying to gauge the cost of replacement vs new phone.

Thanks in advance.

  4. Make sure you have the latest updates installed. Update using iTunes/Finder —> Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support (IN)
  5. You still see a black screen after charging, force restarting, following the steps in this article.

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it is recommended to reach out to Apple Support or visit an authorized service center for further assistance. They can provide specific guidance based on your device model and iOS version.
