How can I turn off faceID for messages on my phone?

SquareHammer - you're awesome! Like many have said, the concept is good, but it is very cumbersome. Even turning it off is cumbersome! lol. Thanks so much that features was driving me crazy!!!

Yes, holding down the Messages app until I get the ability to edit it and turn off Face ID is how you do it, but if you have stolen device protection turned on it makes you wait an hour before you can do it. Very annoying. I’m waiting my hour now

Are you talking about Facebook messenger, if so ask META.

I see nothing in ios 18 feature about using faceid for imessage

Omg this thing was driving me me nuts of course it would be sigh so easy as just to hold the message app down until it says edit and then it’ll say remove Face ID wow so simple but so hard to find at the same time lol! Thank yall so much for this app !
