Crossword puzzle on AppleNews + iPad has Formatting problem?

Since upgrading to iOS 18 the crossword puzzle found in Apple News + is not functioning as it had been. The grid moves and goes in and out of the visual field while typing answers. I am not able to view the entire grid as before and I can’t see the word as I am typing- especially on the bottom rows! How can I revert it to the previous format?
