Found an Apple AirTag - and it beeps!

So I found this AirTag beeping, as I hadn't seen these devices before - I brought it home, then asked a work colleague how I identify the owner...

Well it doesn't really help as i only have the last 4 digits of the mobile phone "*** *** 6942"

I do have the serial number - so I can confirm the owner if only I can contact them...

So how do we do that?

You don't. Only the owner can provide the contact information if they wish. Be aware, that the owner can still track the device, so they know exactly where it is and if you have it with you, they know exactly where you are. Leave it at a neutral location such as a nearby lost & found, so they can track it to that location and pick it up.
