iPhone 11 Pro will not charge or show in finder on 2015 MBPro

iPhone 11 Pro iOS 18 will not show in FINDER, CHARGE nor do I get the prompt to Trust this Device on my 2015 MBPro 13" OS Monterey 12.7.6. They both show up in each find my, they're using iMessage using the phone number, if I log out each will confirm with the others device, both are logged into same Apple ID, iCloud and App Store. Also have an iPad 2 to this Apple ID


iPhone 11 Pro and 2015 MBPro find each other via Bluetooth and I get a pairing code then after a minute the iPhone 11Pro says 2015 MBPro is not supported


my iPad charges & connects to the 2015 MBPro and ask trust this device

I have a different Apple ID & Phone # with an iPhone 13mini iOS 18 & a 2021 MBPro 16" with Sequoia & a 2012

MBPro OS Catalina 10.15.7 & Air Pods 2 Pro


iPhone 11 Pro connected to the 2021 MBPro charges immediately, neither device ask trust this device.

iPhone 11 Pro connects via Bluetooth to the 2012

iPhone 11 Pro does not connect via Bluetooth to the 2021 MBpro says not supported


iPhone 13 mini connected to the 2015 MBPro charges and ask trust this device

iPhone 13 mini wont connect via Bluetooth to the 2015 MBPro says not supported

the 2021 MBPro connects via Bluetooth to the 2012 MBPro

my goal is to charge & connect iPhone 11 Pro to the 2015 MBPro in finder also back this phone up to this Mac

Probably, you’ve done this already, but reboot both the Mac and the iPhone and try again. Try a different cable. Note that they will not ever pair via Bluetooth, that is not supported. If you go to system profiler with the phone connected, does it show up on the USB bus?

Thank you, I didn't think of looking there. You are correct I did try rebooting both devices, also tried a few different genuine apple cords prior to the post.


I think the problem is with the iPhone 11 Pro.


All devices charge and show up in the 2015 MBPro system profiler USB info except the iPhone 11 Pro when I plug it in I do get the prompt to unlock device to use accessory.


Also the iPhone 11 Pro does not show that it is connected on the other 2 MBPro's USB info when plugged in.

Weird thing is it doesn't charge connected to the 2015 MBPro and does charge hooked to anything by USB and charges hooked to the 2 other MBPro's even though it doesn't show in their USB info.


Another quick question. My iPhone 13 mini shows up in my 2021 Finder Window in locations even without the USB cord. Is that through the WiFi?
