how do i comvert an ibook to pdf

Apple Tech recommended iBook Author, but that app is no longer available. So how does one go about converting an iBook to pdf?

Do I have to do a full "publish" to see a preview or sample of my apple book? The last time a wrote a book it was in iBook Author, now I am doing it in Pages and I want to see a preview of just my first few pages to check my formatting, but I can't see a way to do that short of a full "Publish to Apple Books". Is this true? I need to do a full publish?

Where did you get this "ibook"? Normally books are the in .epub format, so you could search google for .epub to .pdf converters.
