Safari is not syncing bookmarks, reading list, and tabs properly

Safari is not syncing bookmarks, reading list, tabs properly. Sometimes syncing works but most of the time it doesn‘t.

I already tried to disable iCloud sync, enable again, reboot Mac and iPhone. Log out from Apple ID and all the stuff Apple suggests again and again.

Yes, all devices are using the same Apple ID and yes I contacted Apple support.

Anybody having the same issue and a solution maybe?

iOS 18, macOS 15.

Yep, same problem here. My bookmarks were previously synced, so those are still intact, but my Reading List will not sync between my iPhone and Mac (also iOS 18 and macOS 15). Adding items to either Reading List does not sync to the other device, rendering it essentially useless. Hoping it's just a current bug they'll fix soon.

I contacted Apple Support, the usual stuff (disable / enable iCloud for Safari, reboot and stuff did not help). The agent was unable to help so the forwarded it to an "expert" who called me back. She had no idea either but promised to care and call me back. That never happened.

I think they're busy with "AI" (not in my region) and adding more buttons to iPhones. Sorry for being sarcastic but they are always praising themselves and those basic features just don't work.

By the way, I also send a feedback with the Feedback app a while ago and I know many others did so. But still my report says "Similar reports: None".

I'm right there with you. Too focused on unnecessary new features while basic things don't work. Seems like every time there are "new, innovative features!", the simplest things get broken. Good grief.

Personally, I don't want or need AI features. Just make my **** iCloud stuff sync properly!

Sadly, that's not surprising. I tried those things too, to no avail. C'mon Apple, get it together. 🤦‍♂️
