iOS18 and Screen share not working as intended: no drawing and no remote control options. Why?

I tried to use this new feature on my 15 Pro (my friend has a 16), but I can only see the other screen or show my screen to my friend on FaceTime. I cannot draw anything or control remotely the other phone (neither my friend if we do the other way around). I can’t even see the option on the bottom right part of the screen. Only the magnifying glass on the bottom left side of the screen is available.


I also tried with another friend of mine and it is happening the same thing.


Why is that? Maybe because I live in Europe (and so my other two friends) and Apple blocked these two feature as they did with Mirroring your iPhone on Mac?

Same thing happen to me when I purchased an iPad Pro and it did not work, then I called apple support and I spoke with 2 different apple supporter, one of them "the last one" told me that this feature will not be available before release of IpadOS 18.1 and IOS 18.1 here late October 2024, I was frustrated as apple still showing on apple.com that it should be an available feature with IpadOS 18 & IOS 18 release.


am hoping it will work here en few days with 18.1 release as my purchase of an iPad Pro was for specially that reason.
