How do I remove the blue dot from my voicemail list?

Appears on top of Voicemail list on iPhone 10. Cannot remove even with help from my cell phone carrier.

How can I remove notification dot 🔴 for voicemail on my iPhone 12 Pro? I have a notification I cannot remove, in the voicemail section of the phone app, “To retrieve a voicemail, first set a password and greeting.” I have tried to set it up just so I can turn it off again, but I can’t do this either, try to create a pin and it says “Voicemail Error Try again later.” Don’t want voicemail and have no need for it, how do I remove the notification dot 🔴 [Re-Titled by Moderator]
