Keyboard disappears in Mail app

Using iOS 18.0 on an iPhone SE.

The keyboard disappeared while creating an email. In the latest case it was after I attached a file. Clicking in the TO or the SUBJECT field makes the keyboard reappear, but as soon as I click in the body of the email it disappears again.
