How do I keep the Dock from disappearing in Sequoia?

I am on a Mac Mini Intel running Sequoia and my bottom dock keeps disappearing and I can not make it reappear. I went to the Desktop and Dock section of the Systems folder and the Automatically hide and show the Dock is grayed out, yet it keeps disappearing and no matter what I do, I can not get it back - until presto, sometime later it re-appears without me doing anything.

I am wondering if this has something to do with the new tiling system - which I absolutely hate? When I put a window somewhere, that is where I want it to stay and if I decide I want to move again, it I want to decide where it goes and how big it should be. But I digress, I need my Dock visable at all times!

Adjust and test the following Desktop & Dock settings.

1) Go to System Settings > Desktop and Dock > Desktop Stage Manager > set Show items to On Desktop.

2) In the same System Settings > Desktop & Dock > scroll down to Windows > turn off the Tile settings.

3) In the same System Settings > Desktop & Dock > scroll down to Mission Control > turn off those settings.
