I recently bought an iphone x and the packaging it came with is giving me questions because it came with a lighting to USB-C cable and no earpod. But the phone itself is fine , the software is legit and the cameras are also legit . Does that mean tha its fake or?

Where did you buy the iPhone X? Apple does not sell new iPhone X's anymore.
If you bought it refurbished there is no certainty that the Apple Earpod's would've also been given to you.
