Translation Button Disappears in Safari on macOS 15 After Translating Page
In macOS 15, Safari version 18.0 (20619.1.26.31.6), the translation button in the smart search field disappears after translating a webpage, unlike in previous macOS versions where the button remained visible and allowed switching back to the original version of the page.
Steps to reproduce:
- Open Safari on macOS 15.
- Navigate to any webpage that can be translated.
- The translation button appears in the smart search field.
- Click the button to translate the page.
- After the translation is applied, the translation button disappears.
Expected result:
The translation button should remain visible after translation, allowing the user to switch back to the original webpage with one click, as it worked in previous versions of macOS.
Actual result:
The translation button disappears, and to revert to the original webpage, the user now has to go to the menu bar, select "View," then choose "Translation," and click "Show Original."
Additional information:
- macOS version: 15
- Safari version: 18.0 (20619.1.26.31.6)
