apple watch wheel and button keep sticking

I am very active and sweat a lot while wearing my apple watch. I have had my current watch for 2 years and did not start experiencing this issue until a few months ago. Both my wheel and button stick periodically while I am wearing my watch. My watch has tried to call emergency services by itself before because of this issue. I’ve done the “suggested cleaning” and this seems to not help. Has anyone else had this issue?
